Business Opportunities at the Festival
Registration is now open for the 2018 Alabama Asian Cultures and Food Festival!
The Foundation welcomes business and nonprofit organizations of all sizes to be part of the Alabama Asian Cultures and Food Festival. If you are interested in showcasing your business or nonprofit organization to the local community, setting up a vendor booth and purchasing ad space in the Festival Program is an excellent way to reach the hundreds of people that will enter the festival and might not otherwise be exposed to your message.

Vendor Booth Payment & Setup Instructions
Four categories of vendor booths are available for business and nonprofit organizations based on their goals at the Festival (details below). Vendor booth payments MUST be submitted online or in the form of a check received (with registration form if not submitted online) by Friday, March 16, 2018. Checks MUST be mailed to Attention: Vendors Committee Chair, Alabama Asian Cultures Foundation, P.O. Box 660769 Birmingham, AL 35266-0769.
NOTE: Booth tables are 6' long, and vendors must provide their own tablecloth(s). Each table will come with two chairs. We ask that vendors use a 'real' tablecloth or heavy fabric. Vendors are responsible for setting up their booths on Friday, March 31, between 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., or Saturday, April 1, between 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. Vendors must also bring their own electrical extension cords if electricity is needed.
Vendor Booth Categories & Pricing:
Nonprofit (non-sales)
These booths are for nonprofits that wish to interact with the people that attend the Festival. A qualifying organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is non-religious and non-political. The goal of the nonprofit must be to educate or inform Festival attendees about their goals and programs. No goods or services are to be sold.
NO CHARGE (Limit 1 table)
Nonprofit (sales)
These booths are for nonprofits that are non-religious and non-political and that wish to sell merchandise or a service at the Festival in support of the nonprofit’s mission. A 10% (city-4%, county-2%, state-4%) sales tax must be collected and turned in to the Vendors Committee Chair at the close of the Festival.
$50 for one table, $25 for an additional table (Limit 2 tables)
For-profit (non-sales)
These booths are for businesses that want to showcase products and services that they offer to prospective customers/clients, but will not actually be selling any goods or services at the Festival.
$100 for one table, $50 for an additional table (Limit 2 tables)
For-profit (sales)
These booths are for businesses that want to sell products or services at the Festival as a concession or direct vendor. For those who intend to sell products, a 10% (city-4%, county-2%, state-4%) sales tax must be collected and turned in to the Vendors Committee Chair at the close of the Festival. Those who intend to provide a service will not be liable for sales tax.
$200 for one table, $100 for each additional table (Limit 3 tables)
Ad Space Payment & Submission Instructions
Ad space payments MUST be submitted online or in the form of a check received by Friday, March 16, 2018. Checks MUST be mailed to Attention: Vendors Committee Chair, Alabama Asian Cultures Foundation, P.O. Box 660769 Birmingham, AL 35266-0769.
High resolution ads for your business or nonprofit organization MUST be emailed by Friday, March 16, 2018 to the program designer, Mike Hawkins, at hoknok@gmail.com for approval and inclusion in the Festival Program. Any questions about the technical design/format of ads should also be emailed to Mike Hawkins.
